Darcy and Benjy were disappointed that Minty wasn't here when they came to call with their human this afternoon, but they were pleased to pose for a blip.

With the thaw continuing, I braved a trip to Balfron to check my mail and pick up a couple of things. There were sections of very bad flooding on the road - not really surprising with all that melted snow plus heavy rain overnight - but my wee car coped well.

Earlier I sat and watched the dvd of 'Lady Bird', another of the films that has had good reviews. Saoirse Ronan was brilliant as an immature 17-year-old, very different from her character in 'Brooklyn' last year.
