No Frame Without Grain

Stellenbosch Church

The blipfoto shows the Dutch Reform Church in Stellenbosch. It is the oldest church in South Africa. It was built in stages as the community grew, in the early 1700s at first and completed in its neo-Gothic style in the mid-1860s. As with the other buildings in Stellenbosch, it has crisp white lines on the outside and uses a lot of wood on the inside.
