Pferdeschorschi

This is the photo I had to live with for 10 years.
It was in my passport received today.

The barber designer haircut was to be destroyed not long after this photo by my first girlfriend Annabel who I had met in September 1973.

She dragged me to a hair designer at "Scissors" on the Fulham Road, at a time when it wasn't a very glamorous part of town (sorry Chelsea supporters) but this place was the very "in", read expensive, hairstylists and about to make Fulham Road hip.

It was meant for female clients, with lots of very attentive, fussy, male "stylists" each with a young female assistant who washed (disinfected) the scalp, cleared up around him as he snipped away & looked after his clients with such questions as asking if one would like a coffee ..... Coffee? I had come to have a haircut!

Glad to get out alive and to this day (2018) I remember standing outside waiting for a bus back to civilization and seeing a poster on the bus stop sign for "Escort services - 24hr., hotel visits....." I was a country boy and had no idea of what this could be.

Wierd the things one remembers.

In 2018, Scissors isn't to be found on Google but I still have the phone number if anyone wants to try making an appointment - 01 589-9471 and ask for "Moody".
