Gliding on...

After lunch on this beautiful sunny day, we took our boat out for an hour and a half jaunt right around the lake , starting off taking the reedy channel that divides Otumutu Island from our bay. It's a favourite spot for scaup, dabchicks(saw 3 more pairs out there) , Australian coots , shags, pukeko and black swans. So peaceful with the odd dragonfly buzzing by (and the occasional actively hitched pair) .
