Twelve Mile Creek Falls

A fascinating  walk on the Mt Crichton Track, with entry from the Queenstown/Glenorchy Road.

The Twelve Mile Creek Waterfall is just one highlight in this historic goldmining area.  We passed by an old restored hut, originally built in 1930 (in extras), and saw a tailrace tunnel, chiselled and blasted by gold miners to allow water to flow into Twelve Mile Creek (also in extras).

Our summer of hot weather continues.  It was such a good choice today,  to walk in the shade of the beech forest on this scenic track.
