An Old Preserved Building

This cottage was the subject of a previous blip so I've copied the same blurb.  Why re-invent the wheel?
Tarella Cottage
Tarella cottage, Wentworth Falls, was built by Sydney solicitor John McLaughlin in 1890 as a holiday cottage for his family of four children to escape the heat of Sydney summers.

His daughter Beryl left the house and land to the historical society when she died in 1988 at the age of 99.

The cottage contains a collection of memorabilia of the late 19th and early 20th centuries is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, preserved buildings in Wentworth Falls.

Because Australia is relatively young something built in 1890 fits into the historic category so it's my entry for Wide Wednesday.  Thanks to Steveng for hosting today's challenge.

Many thanks for hearts and stars of late.  I'm finding it difficult to keep up thanking you personally but do appreciate your visits to my journal.
