Yellow corydalis

One of my favourite 'wildflowers' which for me has aways straddled the line between a true wildflower and a planted garden escape- wherever they grow they never seem to have been put there by man, but equally they never grow far away from us either. Dingy and damp spots seem popular, which they share with the mosses and the woodlice, this one on the edge of someone's driveway. Their more pedigree cousin, the climbing corydalis, is a tiny woodland plant which likes deep shade and has minute flowers of the palest blue.

I love this plants' leaves just as much as it's flowers!
