A touch of Spring

I don't think there's any continent which hasn't experienced weather surprises these past few months,  in The Netherlands we didn't have much snow or ice yet this month and today we had a temperature record in The Netherlands  as with  a temperature of 14 C (that's 57.2 F)  this is the warmest January 24 ever measured here (obviously from when registration of temperatures started). I'm guessing it's because of this relative warmth that this was the day all the crocuses in the public lawns of our street opened !  Crocuses in January ! Unforunately the lawns are going to function as parking places this weekend as the GP Cyclocross comes to the village. The whole course is already set out and more and more food and drink stalls are arriving too, the circus comes to town, see extra :-) And so these crocuses (more in the extras) will only have a day or two left before they'll be squashed :-(

Don't forget tomorrow is Abstract Thursday with optional theme 'twist/loop/twirl' and tag AT135

Thanks very much for your kind comments and stars for yesterday's dragon, glad you like it too :-)
