Casualty

First 2018 outing of the Wee County Walkers and at a balmy 5 degrees it feels as if spring is not too far away.  Took a short cut through the grounds of Dollar Academy and passed this once magnificent conifer which has become a casualty of the bad weather.  Not sure whether it was the weight of the snow on the upper branches or the high winds we had the other night, but it looks as if the top branch has sheared off and has taken out all the branches below it as it fell.  Big clear up job but lucky there was nobody underneath it at the time.
