Burns Day

Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face,
Great chieftain o' the puddin'-race!
Aboon them a' ye tak yer place,
Painch, tripe, or thairm:
Weel are ye wordy o' a grace
As lang's my airm.

The traditional address to a haggis, as written by Robert Burns.

And today is Burns Day!

I'm not a fan of Burns' work based on the simple premise that I simply don't understand most of it.

I do admire those who dedicate their time to the celebration of his works and life. It clearly brings a lot of pleasure.

So tonight we'll be having haggis for tea. Marks and Spencer fayre too no less!

Burns trivia: did you know that Burns was the first person ever to feature on a commemorative bottle of coca-cola? That was in 2009.
