Growing old disgracefully

By GOD

A Morning with Auntie

To Pacific Quay, where one of my colleagues managed to arrange a private tour for our Canadian visitor, who is crazy about all things British, especially the BBC. Our host gave us a splendid tour, including a view of the studio where Mrs Brown's Boys was rehearsing and an opportunity for our grandson to sit at an editing desk and learn about the software used. My favourite part was seeing the roof top camera used to provide the backdrop in which Jackie Bird etc present Reporting Scotland. I had always wondered if it was live feed - apparently it is 90% of the time, when the weather and the resident spiders don't interfere with the image.

We dropped our special visitor off at the airport an hour later. A combination of the dreich afternoon, the emotional roller coaster and the effects of playing Scrabble at midnight led me to crawl under the duvet for an hour or so.

GOOD THINGS:
Spending time with our special grandson
The easy way important relationships slip into gear, even after a two year absence.
Nutella - of all the comfort foods that do you no good at all, this is the stickiest

EXERCISE DIARY:

I'll do better tomorrow - needs to be something drastic to work off the Nutella.
