Urban Heron

We went to Glasgow today to see a play, Bold Girls (at the Citizens), and also try to get our old Kenwood Chef fixed. Apparently that’s not possible in Edinburgh, but we found a place near Charing Cross that said they should be able to do it. We dropped it off around 14:00, and went off to the Forth Clyde Canal near Westerton for a walk. By the time we got there the guy phoned back to say he had done it; it took less than an hour. The experience proved, again, that if you want something done you do it at the other end of the M8 from Edinburgh. The walk by the canal was good, with loads of pairs of Moorhens, a Goosander, a Cormorant and several Herons seen. The blip is of a Heron unconcernedly fishing near some houses.
