Wild Chicken

There are differing ideas about the history of these wild chicken.  One is that they are descended from animals brought here by the original peoples from Polynesia.  That is very unlikely.  What is true is that there were 2 very powerful hurricanes in the late 1980s with lots of damage to all sorts of buildings.  That included many places where chickens were kept for food and many escaped and are now wild.  Two hotels here were very badly damaged and were not rebuilt until about 10 years ago.
