Jamie's ashes

Jamie was very fond of his time in North Berwick and so had requested  his ashes be scattered there. It was just over a year ago that he had died and this date had been in the calendar for a while. Logistically, gathering family members from as far as Serbia and Italy as well as Chester and Coventry is easier done with lots of notice.

Many in the group had wisely checked the weather forecast and so there was much talk of rain. But, as we set off along the beach the sunlight burst through the grey clouds casting a lovely rich, hazy hue across the sand and sea.

After casting his ashes into the wind and saying goodbye we walked back into town and packed into the chippy for a deep fried lunch.
