An old friend once observed "If you want to be a bridge in this society, you need to learn that means being walked over!" Bridgebuilding is a journey rather than a destination. We can build them and be them for others. They enable the journeys of others. They create "what ifs" which may not otherwise be available They often involve prodigal acts of generosity, they are small steps towards peace.
