Sold - to the lady with the camera!

Oh no! I've just bought a one-month old Belgian Blue calf!
A fascinating day at the livestock auctions with Alf (of Alf and Helen). By the 'eck they took some money today - a Belgian Blue calf going for up to £240 and a 600kg BB bull for £2.25 a kg and some men were buying 12 and more bulls!
The auctioneers were very entertaining - couldn't catch half of what they said - and very efficient, selling some stock before it barely stepped foot hoof into the ring.
Check out the other images in my blipfolio. (CAN YOU SPOT SCARY MAN IN THIS PICTURE AND 2 OTHERS?)
You may be wondering what the bloke is doing on the right (the auctioneer being the one in the middle). Well he is selling the animal and is continuing the old (Romany) tradition of luck money. After the gavel has gone down the buyer hands over the payment and is given back 'luck money' in return to ensure good luck for the animal. £1 seemed to be the rate for a £200 calf but you sometimes got £5 if you spent £1400!
