SAFFRON

Listening to BBC Radio 4's "The Food Program" I heard tremendous enthusiasm for saffron as an enhancement to dishes from all provenances from fish to buns.

As it happens, I found this 4 gram packet of saffron in my Christmas stocking - & although I've been cooking Indian food for ages, I never got around to sussing out saffron.

Tomorrow I'm kind of obliged to try roasting some chicken with yogurt, lemon juice, onions...

And SAFFRON!
