Salvage from the Wreckage

The weekend? Went by in a flash, so it did. Whoosh!
One variation was playing 7 a side with the Vets on Sunday morning instead of going for a run.
Today back to work and the complexity of trying to fit a quart into a pint pot. Turns out, you can do it but it is rather messy.

After this evening’s football (a good, tight game marred by an outbreak of “handbags” at the end), came home to find Sir Isaac Newton FRS examine the space underneath the sofa. I had a look but there was nothing to be seen. After some hours he was still at it so I pulled out the sofa and there was a tiny mouse. The author of the Principae Mathematica raced in and chased the mouse who hid under the sofa that I pushed back again.
Cat shut in bedroom, rescued the unharmed mouse and put it in the garden. Let the cat out. He’s now watching the sofa again, unaware that the bird has flown.
