Sundial

After enduring a week of grey, wet and miserable weather the sungod has reappeared, which also meant all (and I mean ALL) the locals got on their bikes and pootled along the river today, frantically ringing their bells at any daft dog that didn't realise he was supposed to look, signal, manoevre before wandering over to the other side of the path on the trail of some yummy smell (in this case, half a loaf of bread left for the ducks)
This is one of my favourite buildings in Kettwig just for the functioning sundial, which to my eye was about 30 minutes fast, leading me then to ponder all the way home whether the clocks go forward or back this month and is there no 'Eselsbrücke'* for this?


* Eselsbrücke directly translates as 'donkey bridge' but means an 'aide-memoire' or mnemonic.
