If you can't beat them...

The main event of the day was helping a friend.  M runs his business from "The Mate's" workshop.  He had just finished a commission for a large bookcase and it needed delivered, could I help?  Of course I could.

I hadn't seen the piece until I arrived at the workshop.  No wonder he needed help - four of us in total.  The manoeuvres were complicated but well choreographed.  Turn it through 180°, then lay it flat and pick it up with what was the  width now being the height.  From there into the office turn through 90° and out into the van.

Sounds simple, well it was until we got to the van.  M had measured carefully and the short side if the book case was about 15mm to high to fit.  So we had to put it in at an angle before bringing it back upright.

At the customers into the hall, turn 90° into the living room, another 90° turn, lay flat, lift up with top to the top (remember it had been on its side all this time) another 90° turn and slide into place.

The blip?  Oh a quick shot of the tools arranged above "the mates" bench.
