Signs of spring. This is my 3rd attempt to blip this flowers. Somehow something else always came up. Anyway, the usual busyness.

Had an interesting chat about obesity and the rise of it during the last 30 years. Our discussion was reasonably accurate judging from this NHS page. Although I disagree with the simplified advice eat less and be more active. It leaves the onus to change to the individual. Obesity is one aspect of the big, interlinked problems facing us: climate change, pollution, industrial agriculture, work. It boils down to big business exploiting the world and society to sell us stuff that we don't need, that makes us unhappy and that kills us. It is a ridiculous state of the world. The solution requires us to reign in business interests.
