My Year

Had a busy day today.

This morning went to the Retired Men's Forum. Had a comic telling jokes, some rather adult, for 45 minutes. Rather bizarre at ten in the morning.

Then set up a Just Giving page for our jaunt to Mongolia. That was like competing in the Krypton Factor....why can't they make things simple?

Spent the afternoon in the garden. Turned the soil, spread Growmore and planted 50 onion sets. Not planted them this early before, but these are meant to go in now and mature early next year.....we wait and see.

Turned over the compost heap. Amazing how warm it gets and how many worms are working away.

Dug out some perennials for my other half. Don't know what they were as I was only hired for my muscle.

Finally cut back and dug out some raspberries to make way some space. These are autumn fruiting and bear fruit on new growth each year, so have to be cut down each winter. They also spread rapidly so have to be kept in check.

After all this the wellys had a well earned rest while we had a cup of tea.
