Super Moon

Tonight is the night of the supermoon. The time when the moon is at its nearest point to the earth.

In some parts of the world it coincides with a blue moon and a red moon caused by an eclipse. A very rare combination we are told. No doubt we shall see pictures tomorrow.

We are unlikely to see much in Cumbria but my blip shows one of the effects on our late morning tide.
