Manoora to Mintaro

This is the tale of three abandoned train stations. Here are some photos of two of them. The third one disappeared very early one morning not so long ago I believe.
The images are a mix of shots of Manoora Station, and Mintaro Station (also known as Merildin Station, as both names can be seen on the station sign - see extras); each a stop from the other on a derelict train line.
Manoora station lies nestled in the middle of the town; Mintaro, exactly
the same layout and construction, sits in the middle of a bare paddock, on a flat low plateau, miles from the nearest farmhouse, let alone the little hamlet of Mintaro. Such a thing to come across in the middle of nowhere.
The third one was in Saddleworth, where my mother lives, and I can only guess that it too would have looked just the same. Its sad disappearance was what gave us the idea to track the other two down.

The light today was a real challenge: a high, grey, washed out glare hung over everything; with not a ray of sunshine all day and a chill breeze.
