ward law

a glorious day for a walk, so Jess and I headed up Ward Law Hill and down to Caerlaverock Castle. It was high tide and the Nith was very full. The sun was shining and the air was mild. I even saw some crocuses in flower.

This is the path up to Ward Law, which has seen duty as an Iron Age fort and a Roman lookout. No doubt it has other secrets to tell as well, but today all was quiet and we sat and enjoyed the views over to Criffel and to Skiddaw.

The extras are the wonderful trees on top which I often photographed for my college project and a view of Ward Law from the road.
