So today I went to the supermarket, and then walked home through the park, eating a bread roll. I decided to go over and have a look at the little pond/stream part of the park, since I hadn't actually been over there before. I hadn't anticipated quite how many birds there would be, or how keen they'd be on my bread. Luckily, the swans stayed in the water, but the ducks all flapped noisily out onto the bank and followed me about. I saw this little guy too, he seemed quite confused by all the commotion around him. Hadn't expected to see a baby moorhen this late in the year.
