Just Fabrics

We had the kitchen redone a few years ago, and searched everywhere for a suitable roller blind. Eventually we found some fabric we liked and had a blind custom made and fitted. It cost a lot more than a ready made one, but we were really pleased with the result. It looks lovely, especially with the early morning sun pouring in like butterscotch, as Joni Mitchell once sang. It was my turn to fetch the drinks this morning by the way.

The extra image is more fabric, this time from a sofbed we bought about 20 years ago. We've probably only used it half a dozen times over the years and we've decided to give it way. Somebody is supposed to be collecting it this afternoon/evening (no sign of them so far). I thought I should have some sort of record of it as it was a lucky purchase for us. On the evening we ordered it mrsfb entered a 'win-a-car' competition at the furniture store by writing a pithy slogan as we were leaving. A few days later she had a couple of phone calls asking her to confirm the fabric choice we had made as they had lost the details. Shortly afterwards she had a third call. 'What now!?' she asked. 'Oh we're just calling to tell you that you have won the car' was the reply!
