Lake of Menteith

We had a terrific time at Aberfoyle, the walks, the dancing, the company, all were great.  The hotel is very comfortable and as we have been going for the last six years we are quite at home there.

Last evening was very special.  Although it is a bit late, we always have a mini Burns Supper before dancing on the last evening, and Drew addressed the haggis and also spoke about the lassies, and the reply from Mauveen was sharp and witty.  Mary from Ayrshire sang a Burns song as she does each year, and also later in the evening sang again.

The dancing was really good.  We finished with Auld Lang Syne pretty late, and were all exhausted but happily so.

This morning after breakfast we packed up and headed home.  We passed the Lake of Menteith, and stopped so that I could photograph for blip.

Home now, second load of washing on (I don't know how we managed to have so much washing)..... and enjoying a night in front of the TV.
