A new Aberdeen icon

This is a shot of the Sir Duncan Rice Library at the University of Aberdeen, one of Aberdeen's newest buildings. Its design provoked a great deal of controversy as it sits in the heart of Old Aberdeen, a shot of which you can see in my extra photo. Personally I love it, and think the contrast works.
I was in town for a presentation on the University's work with partners on Project Search, an employability project for young people with learning disabilities, which is having great results in getting said young people into work. The event was timed as part of the year of young people 2018. A very interesting morning, with the best bit as usual a chance to speak with young people about their experience of the programme and their hopes for the future.
