Late

G was clearing out some of her father's music manuscripts and suchlike and discovered this, it's the score for Bartok's Bluebeard's Castle.  Due to be handed back to the Music Library at the end of August 1989, so it's a trifle over 27 years late in going back.

I'm quite tempted to take it back when we're next in London.

Opera is sadly one of those thngs I've never really "gotten".  I like lots of things but Opera is just outwith my ken.  I like things I can understand and I've never been able to hear words when I listen to Opera, which annoys the heck out of me.

Other than these random asides, it was Saturday, the world is filled with idiots in cars*, and I think it's for the best if I keep my interaction with the outside world to a minimum.

*Not you, I'm sure you're a careful driver who pays attention to other people, don't use your mobile phone when you're driving and you probably know what the indicators on your car are for.  These "skills" are sadly lacking in way too many drivers here.  A pox on them.
