After the high seas we have had recently there has been a lot of beach erosion.  At Stockton, these World War II tank traps have been unearthed or unsanded so to speak.  On the one in front carved in the concrete was the date and another number.

They are talking about making an artificial reef to protect the beach.  They will have to do something, people have to bungee jump to get to the beach these days.
