Millenial Toon

'Home' to Newcastle for a couple of nights, with Bill Bailey tonight being the main draw. He was excellent (though still not quite as good as the first time we saw him a fair few years ago now); but the City Hall venue was somewhat cramped, and with little in the way of rake of the seating you could easily be scuppered by someone in front who had difficulty sitting still and constantly had to speak to people on either side.

Excellent sichuan meal beforehand, just outside China'town' (street would be more apt, always thought that whenever I went to the football and wandered by!). 

Only downer was the hotel seemingly now catering for a much younger crowd (which I guess we were the last time we stayed), and some clubbers next door getting in around 3ish and proceeding to talk very loudly for the next couple of hours. Soundproofing somewhat lacking, and a bloke loving the sound of his own voice, not a great combo!
