Go West Young Man

A brilliant bright start with a heavy frost had us planning to take pooch up onto the Scar first thing.
Driving up the fell road we could see that our lazy start* had cost us, the day was already on the turn. This collage shows our views West and East from the same spot. By the time we reached the Beacon those wisps of black cloud had enveloped us and we returned chilled by a very localised blizzard, the temperature barely rose above freezing all day.

A trip to the Upfront Gallery and their fantastic vegatarian cafe, this year's Upfront Cumbrian Artists Exhibition was a very high standard despite no entry this year from Mrs IttH, I'm pleased to report she left inspired though. Too much time on the art club committee means not enough time in front of the easel. If you've spare time I'd highly recommend it, it's also a little larger than previous years as they've added a new gallery room. They still have all the creepy puppets though - you've been warned.

*Pushka's new meds seem to have worked remarkably quickly. We thought one good night was coincidence but two consecutive nights of good sleep means fingers crossed.
