White Out

Arrived in Val d’Isere and there is more snow than I have ever seen. It is piled up on the sides of the roads maybe 2 to 3 metres high and they are taking it away in big dumper trucks ! The locals say it’s the most they have seen for 30 years. It was snowing on the way up the mountain in the car and is pretty grim up on the mountain skiing. The combination of very low vis and new lumpy unabashed snow make it an interesting couple of hours trying to find out ski legs.
