It's not me...!!

We've had a relatively leisurely day in Auckland after our country-hopping over the last week. In the morning we went up the Sky Tower, the tallest free-standing structure in the southern hemisphere and the 23rd tallest tower in the world (at 328 metres 1,076 ft) tall).

We watched, camera in hand, through a window as a few mad folk adrenaline junkies shot past doing the Skyjump - all 192 metres of it! Blip sorted.

In the evening we had another walk down to the docks, and were lucky enough to see a sound and light show at the Harbour Bridge. We only realised something special was about to happen when we found lots of people in position on the quayside to watch it; seemingly it's being done for a few days to celebrate Waitangi Day which is tomorrow. (The Waitangi Treaty was first signed on 6 February 1840 by representatives of the British Crown and Maori chiefs.)

On the way back we had a good view of the floodlit Sky Tower (see extra), to complement the main blip.
