Our first proper snow this winter. It was bitterly cold and the snow began falling very early in the morning, I think around three o'clock. However, by the time I went out for my walk it was disappearing fast - only the fields in the countryside really retained any of the snow. This small wendy house/castle had been left abandoned at the edge of this field. I really liked the surreal and melancholy feel to it.
Today's extra shot is part of my ongoing project The Valley In Between - all these items seemed to have been placed against the tree like some kind of shrine.
The rhyme for monomonday - "It's February, it's very cold and sometimes we wish the snow really was unnecessary".
