Monday is Local History day...

... for me, volunteering at the local Library. 

Being a dull morning, it was ideal conditions for capturing one of my Then & Now blips of Harrogate.

This particular photograph was taken sometime in the 1920s, when the building was an arcade. It is now occupied by a single shop.The building next door to the Arcade was occupied by an optician. It is now part of a department store. 

Judging by the notices on the windows, it was a fairly similar time of year with just as wet weather.
