If you can't beat them...

Clotted Cream.

One of our periodic trips to the thriving metropolis of Carlisle!   We had more aims than just our usual garden centre visit.  The garden centre visit happened of course but with other visits thrown in.

We started off at the Cash & Carry to set up an account for the holiday Lodge as the Penrith one closed without notice.  Then on to Dunelm for another item we were looking for and lunch.

The garden centre followed but as it was the one which doesn't allow photography we didn't take in the cameras.  To have a bit of a rant they don't watch what people are doing with mobile phones merely those who carry a camera!  The selection of Primulas appealed to Clickychick and at 4 for £10 who could blame her.

While we were at the till the words of a blipper who we viosited at their nursery floated through my  mind  "I'll tell you how to make money with Primulas don't grow them"  At £2.50 per plant I can see his point knock off the garden centres profit and the amount being paid for the growers time, equipment, compost pot etc is chicken feed.

So this is Primula beleriana " Clotted Cream" it claims to be hardy, flowers spring and summer (2 flushes of flower can't be bad) and have a nice scent.  I have sniffed them and yes a nice scent time will show if the rest is correct.
