Weston-super-Mare

We went to Weston today to meet Colin who had come up from Dawlish.  It was a great day, spending a fair while in the excellent cafe, Brunello Lounge.  In between morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea we went for a walks along the front and onto the pier. Weston has an extremely long, wide promenade, probably about two miles, which takes in the Sea Aquarium and the pier, built in 2010 to replace the original that was destroyed by a fire.

As Colin's train home was not till eight this evening we went to the early evening showing of Darkest Hour at the art deco Odeon Cinema in the centre of the town.

The sea at Weston goes out a very long way, this is a picture of part of the beach plus an offshore island.  A suitable candidate for Wide Angle Wednesday, hosted by Steveng, with a theme of Nature.
