SIDE BENDING

CC has been bending mahogany all afternoon for the sides of the harp guitar he's making for his step-son, Mateo.

Mahogany's a bugger to bend - walnut's a doddle - rosewood's good.
Much swearing was necessary - he got there in the end. This photo's about halfway through...

Meanwhile I was cutting out "faux nacre" (false mother of pearl) for the fingerboard of  a cheesy German jazz guitar - another bugger job.
