Fall Foliage

Today we took ourselves off 20 minutes down the highway to compete in the North American Orienteering Championships in Adam's Creek forest. Becks had reminded us of what to do if faced with a black bear and to wear our brightest O tops in case we were mistaken for fleeting deer by hunters - not much chance of me being mistaken for anything fleet of foot today sadly! However, it was great to be out in the forest despite the heavy rain throughout the night and the downpour during my run which made my super specs useless! Fall is well on its way in this part of the world and the views of endless forest in all their autumn colours are truly beautiful. This is the lake on the resort complex where we are staying. Here are the views from our deck!
