Spectra 2018

Aberdeen’s festival of light takes place every year in early February, lightening up the granite city with fabulous displays and interactive art works on cold dark nights.

This year the lit see saws and the cycle challenge in Union Terrace Gardens were the hits for my older two and it was amazing to see illuminated joy on their (and so many other) faces as they played on the art.

For me, I loved the terror of the lightening as it struck the impressive Marischial College and crackled all around the foreboding quad.

We left the littlest at home with the Americans - thanks guys - but don’t anyone tell him we had Ice cream from Mackies 19.2 ice cream parlour.
