Rhinoplasty in Caerdydd

Alongside Cardiff Castle is the renowned Animal Wall where 15 stone animals appear to lean over and glare at passers-by. The original 9 (a lioness, a seal, two separate lions each holding a shield, a lynx, a bear, a pair of monkeys, a wolf and a hyena) were carved in the 1880s at the behest of the castle's owner, the Marquess of Bute. They have glass eyes and were originally painted in naturalistic colours. In 1931 six more animals were added: vulture, panther, beaver, a pair of racoons, pelican and this endearing anteater who had the misfortune to lose half a nose. In 2010 the whole lot were refurbished: the anteater's broken nose was mended (as can be seen from the join) and it has regained its noble visage.
The Animal Wall has long been a very popular feature in Cardiff - don't miss it if you ever visit Wales' capital city.
