The life & times of Jacks

Thailand Trip - 2018 - Day 6

Today was mostly a lazy day.

We had a leisurely breakfast and then found our spot by the pool where I backblipped a little and relaxed reading my book.  I'm reading something from the Sookie Stackhouse series which is what True Blood was based on.  Total guilty pleasure.

Steve was better than I was and he went to spend some time in the gym.  Given how much food we are eating I need to muster some energy and motivation to do the same.

In the early evening we walked to the pier as I wanted to take some pictures as the sun was setting over the mountains.  We enjoyed a sneaky cocktail (pictured) before then heading back to the room to get ready to go back into Patong.  The aim was to get a tuk tuk all the way to the end of the beach and walk back but we didn't quite make the full walk back.

There is such an energy in Patong that it's slightly infectious.  We stopped at a bar or two then in one, we ordered another 2 cocktails.  Steve was asked if he wanted a cup or a bucket and he went for bucket - there is a lot of alcoholic liquid in a bucket (see extras for a shot of the bucket with Blue Hawaiian).

We had some crisps/ potato on a stick and then wandered around Bangla road again.  We found another bar where we had beer and sambuca and well, the rest of the evening was a bit of a blur but we had a good laugh.  Eventually we took a tuk tuk back up the road and hit the sack - lazy yet exhausting day.
