Flinders Bay

This bay is a very popular swimming beach in Augusta in the south of Western Australia.

Not only is it a very protected spot for swimming it serves as an ideal location for launching pleasure crafts....not too many about today.

The small reef just out from the jetty seves as an idela barrier and offers some form of security for thiose less adventuresome swimmers.

In days gone by it was also the winter port for vessels taking timber to the UK
