A morning walk around Grasmere with the purpose of seeing if work had started on  replacing the bridge on the path to Alcock Tarn which was destroyed over two years ago in the winter storms. It hasn't. There are alternative routes and a more tricky way around but it will be good to have a new bridge for my circular walk.

I didn't expect the landscape shots I took across the valley to be worth blipping but a few were ok. I liked this as it came out of the camera and I've just cropped it a little. The summit of Helm Crag is out of photo on the right.

Returning to the car we saw a red squirrel sitting on a wall but by the time I had altered camera settings it was 40 ft up a tree.
