Link Wray - Heartbreak Hotel (1958)
Cerys Matthews' show was particular interesting this week as it was themed around the Chelsea Hotel in New York. I have chosen this cover of Elvis Presley's original as it was new to me. This was recorded for an album on the Cadence label in 1958 but the album never came out so this was not released until 1982. There is a more recent version on which he also provides a vocal.
