Ancient and modern

Went into Southend today to finish off the shopping. Overcast day but sun trying to come out.
On the way in we stopped at Southchurch Hall which is a half timbered medieval manor house which dates to the early 14th century. The house was restored in the 1920s and was used as a library until 1974. It is now a museum set out in medieval, Tudor, Stuart and Victorian rooms. Took a few photos but when taking this shot noticed the plane coming over and caught that as well, so that is my blip. There are gardens and a lake which was quite busy with birds and children. More shots on my blipfolio.
