Oak With Tiny Turkey Vulture

Terry the Turkey Vulture is seen (just barely) here competing in the Soaring & Carrion Spotting Marathon which is sort of a combination long distance race and scavenger hunt. I must apologize for not being able to get closer to him, but as you might imagine, it's an enormous course. The carrion portion of the competition was stiff (sorry, couldn't resist) - but I believe I'm correct in saying that although Terry finished the race with the fastest overall time, he received the silver medal rather than the gold, because he missed seeing the dead mouse at the very end of the route. The devil is in the details, Terry.
