All Heart

Team Canada Goose began today's competition at PNW stadium barely able to contain their excitement.  Chloe was visibly overjoyed by the sight of ice on the pond this morning.   Her previous depression and panic attacks brought on by not being able to participate in the ice dancing competition because of warm weather disappeared in a flash and you could hear Cecil breathe a sigh of relief.  (One could tell that the affection and bond between them are very strong.)

Sadly, the joy felt by spectators and competitors alike quickly vanished when it became obvious that the ice was about 1/32nd  of an inch thick and Chloe, in the middle of a graceful pirouette, quickly sank up to her beak.  Only Cecil's quick action (viewed here) saved the day when Chloe fainted and he attempted to revive her much like yours truly once tried to resuscitate a dying goldfish by pushing it slowly through the water to help it "breathe".   Alas, Chloe fell once again into depression and she and Cecil retreated to Olympic Village.

Chloe and Cecil have become the sweethearts of the PNW games and we all have crossed fingers that they will be able to turn their run of bad luck into victory when Team Goose competes again later this week.
